I was a 3 hdcp before back surgery. I am shopping for new irons.?
I hit the PING i15 graphite shaft and the Callaway X22 tour, steel shaft. Never played graphite shaft for irons, so expect it would take some getting used to. Thoughts, opinions appreciated.
I had back surgery to back in 08, it takes along time to rehab it, don't play too soon. The Ping clubs have more offset in the long irons, and they are pretty forgiving, the graphite shaft is going to absorb vibration, so if you have tendinitis in your elbows, graphite is a must. The Callaway clubs are very nice, they don't have near the offset in them versus the Pings. They are both good sets of clubs, I have had them both, if you are interested in working the ball, it will be easier to control your trajectory and shape your shots with the Callaways, because of the reduced offset.
