If a player like Adam Scott uses the AP2 irons, how do people justify buying the more advanced ZM or ZM blade?

If a top player plays a more forgiving blade like iron, with the intensitiy and demand of the field of players, how can low handicappers justify buying the ZM or ZB blades to tote around their local mud puddle courses? Or maybe its Adam Scott who has the problem... why does he not play the top level Titleist irons? What is the deal with this... many tour pros play cast or forgiving irons (like mediate and his x-20s) yet people who hit the ball not nearly as well still buy the most demanding clubs on the market? Is it to boost the ego?

Some players like the traditional style blade irons like Tiger, Sergio, Retief Goosen, Ernie Els, etc. It really comes down to personal preference. I believe all of Nike's touring pros on the PGA Tour play a forged iron. Michelle Wie does too. She plays a blade. I've hit blades before and you have to be an excellent ball striker to hit blades. It actually helped me become a better ball striker. I now play a combo set that has blade short irons which I love. Why wouldn't a pro want forgiveness in a club. If that helps him/her to play better wouldn't that be the right thing for them to do? As far as everyday Joe's playing irons for low handicappers, they better be low handicappers or they won't be very happy with their game. I met a guy that had a set of MP-67's and he was complaining about how unforgiving they were. You don't buy blades with the hope of them being forgiving. You have to know what you need. I'm sure Adam Scott knows what he needs.
