what does it mean to have your steel shafts tipped?
i heard that players with higher swing speeds tend to get their shafts tipped but is this right? also is it just with irons or can i get my wood shafts tipped too? i use steel shafts in the driver and 3-wood as well?

i know tiger has his irons tipped 1/4 inches.
While "tipping" can and does affect "feel" it will also subtly affect the shafts kick point moving it higher by the amount of shaft removed by the tipping.
