I have a wood swing set I want to put up but my backyard is irrigated. How can I protect the swing set?

I have a wood swing set that I want to put up in my backyard but we also irrigate the backyard. How can I protect the legs from rotting? Also, If I want to add cushioning to the ground how can I do this with irrigation?

Coat the legs with Lexel sealant. If you dont know ask at your hardware store. This stuff is great. I used it on my picnic table legs 10 years ago and still going.
I would use a nice thick bed of wood chips or mulch for cushioning.
Incidentally, forgot about your irrigation, but obviously you could throw a tarp over wood chips in the evening to protect against your sprinklers in the morning.
