What force does the right hand need to exert to keep the board in static equilibrium?

You pick up a board of length 2.50 m and mass 12.50 kg. To do this, you exert a force upward with your left hand a distance LL=0.700 m from the left end of the board and you need to exert a force with your right hand a distance LR=0.280 m from the left end of the board. Assume the board to be in static equilibrium and that the board is symmetrical with the mass evenly distributed.

I think maybe you have mixed hands or distances, unless you are crossing over hands in front of you? Maybe left and right ends reversed?
Mass of board vs length.
(12.5/2.5) = 5kg/m. mass.
From the right hand's position, there is (.7 x 5) = 3.5kg. of board to the left, so (12.5 - 3.5) = 9kg. right.
Taking this point as the fulcrum, there is (.7/2) x 3.5, = 1.225kg/m. torque left, and ((2.5 - .7) /2) x 9 = 8.1kg/m. torque right.
The difference in torques = (8.1 - 1.225) = 6.875kg/m.
The left hand is (.7 - .28) = .42m. from the pivot.
(6.875/.42) x 9.8 = 160.42N. force down, required from left hand.
