I've heard if Pro Golfers weren't aloud to accept endorsement contracts they'd all play Mizuno Blades. Agree?

Most PGA Tour Golfers are paid to play the clubs they're using. It's not because the want to or even like those clubs the best. Money talks! I've always heard that if the PGA Tour outlawed club endorsement contracts then nearly ever Pro would play a forged Mizuno blade. I'm interested if you've heard the same thing?

I agree with JD, he is right. I go to the masters every year and work hard at looking in the bags to see the clubs the guys are playing. It amazes me at what I see. This year I sat on the tee at the sixth (Par three) and later moved to the green of the sixtenth. At the tee of the sixth hole I was right next to (within 4 feet of where the caddies put the bags down so I had a good vantage to look at the clubs, here are some of the things I saw that were surprising:

1. About 70 % of the pros didn't even play blades, they were mostly playing some type of cavity backs.

2. Titlest vokey wedges were almost exclusive, with the few exceotions being callaway and no one but nike players used nike wedges.

3. Lead tape: The older they were, the more tape, most of the young guns had no tape

4. And as JD said, alot of the players did not even play with the brand on their hats. For example:

Juan Angel Jeminez wears ping, but had some old clubs in his bag that had the name grinded off, they were not pings.

Furyk: Had several Adams brand clubs in his bag, lays for sirxon

Singh: I swear that he was hitting a Titlest Drive with a Cleveland sticker on it and painted red on the bottom

Cannot remember who he was, but one guy was playing the old Ping eye 2 clubs, circa 1980'-90's. They looked brand new, like ping made them for the guy.

Mizuno makes a good product, but from what I have seen lately is that alot of the players are moving to more of the pro type cavity back clubs.
