i agreed with the RAC an excess of £200 on my policy, and i made a claim and they say i have to pay excess £500 to sort out my car, is this practice allowed?
Did you agree voluntary excess of £200? The policy may have had a compulsory £300 excess and your voluntary figure is added to it.
Voluntary excess keeps the initial insurace cost down but you have to pay it on top if you accept it.
