Long Putter vs. Regular one?
What are the advantages of having a long putter? I currently have a 35 inch putter, but i am having trouble with putts from six to eight feet. I've taken lessons, but they haven't helped much. Someone suggested i go to 1 48 inch putter, to control the ball better. I am on the JV Golf team for high school and i usually shoot in the 80's. I am looking to improve my putting so i can move up for the next season. What are the pro's/ con's of switching to this style of putter?
Use a regular length blade putter, and learn to putt from both sides of the ball (in case of a bad lie). Every other putter out there is gimmicky bullcrap. Hone your skills at a mini-golf place, and you will improve your putting in no time. . . .
