Is the HBO series John Adams very accurate?

I love the colonial period and movies so I was really excited to watch this. I was really enjoying it up until the scene that Ben Franklin was in a tub with some lady. The way he was portrayed as a crass, slightly snotty womanizer really annoyed me and made me doubt the accuracy of the film. Anyone who knows anything about Franklin should know he was much smarter than this! Other then how Franklin and Jefferson are being portrayed, I am enjoying the series.

Haven't seen it but from one thing I've answered on here I'd question it's historical accuracy. Someone had just seen an episode where Washington's White House staffers removed all the furniture before Adam's could move in. Only one problem. George Washington never lived in the White House. John Adams was the first president to do so. If their passing it off that Washington was the first president in the White House, then I wonder what other inaccuracies it's full of.
