I'm looking to replace my existing irons with a new iron set, what would you recommend?

I'm a high handicap golfer looking to replace my 10 year old irons with a newer set.

I'd love to hear from your experience and what you would recommend.

I was handicap 23 about 1 yr ago and was using the old Taylormade Burner for years (graphite shaft) . I'd made a switch to taylormade R7 xd irons (steel shaft) since and I'd say they are excellent. The irons also had helped me improve on my approach and fairway shots. Now my handicap improve to 18. They are forgiving sets and yet give you the good feel and distance. And more importantly, i'd say the steel shafts had certainly offered me more consistency.

So I'd recommend the Taylormade R7 irons.

I'd friends who swtich to mizuno and they are doing pretty well with those irons too. So there you go, another brand for you to explore.........
