How long have Strips clubs been around?

I know they show brothels in westerns but dose anyone know when they started "Exotic Dance Clubs"?

I was a dancer and I am being judged for it now after supporting my family with it by the "Justice" system during my divorce.
Every woman is someones daughter and some women are mothers themselves yet it is still a legit business. I know many woman put themselves through school with the income to become anything they chose (even lawyers and judges) I just wonder how long for reference.

And I think it's a shame that you are being judged. You are doing what you have to in order to support your family. During the trial, bring up the fact that your husband obviously couldn't support you or your family, and that is why you had to do that - so your family could eat. Be really dramatic about it, if you play it up they will believe it. Talk to your lawyer about this.
