If Baptism washes away Original Sin, are we still in danger of Hell anyway?

In another one of my questions, people were telling me that Baptism washes away Adam and Eve's Original Sin.
And here I was just thinking it was only a dedication to God's true path.
If it really does wash away all sin, and you live a good life up until your death, wouldn't you automatically go to Heaven, no questions asked?
What are your thoughts on what Baptism really does?

Baptism for a Roman Catholic is the washing away of the original sin. Because of this sin children and good adults are kept from entering the Kingdom of Heaven. We believe that these souls go to a type of Hell called Limbo for the Children, a place of peace, but they never receive their paradise awaiting them in Heaven.
The Hell of Purgatory is a place of suffering from your sins that a person committed while they were alive on earth, but the suffering is temporary until they have redeemed themselves of their sins and the Kingdom of Heaven will be open to them.
The Hell of the Dammed is a place of eternal suffering brought about the person's evils they committed while they were alive on earth. The person will never be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
